(Edited April 2013)   Don’t mail anything.  We are leaving Botswana on April 11 and it would not get to us in time.  Thanks anyway.  See you in the USA.   Also our cell numbers will not work after that date.

Telephone…  the country code for Botswana is 267.  I think the way to call is to dial +267 and then the number.

Marion’s Cell:  76569787

Tips for Mailing Packages:

  • I am told that the Flat Rate boxes seem to be the best deal to mail things in.  If you’re just mailing something little or light though, a padded envelope won’t be expensive at all.
  • Must be sent via US Postal Service International Mail (write “Air Mail” and “Par Avion” on envelopes).
  • When describing what you’re sending on the Customs Sticker, make it sound as boring as possible.  “Used Educational Supplies”, “religious materials”, or “books”, are much less likely to get stolen than “Super Cool Expensive Stuff From America!!!!”  Also, indicate the value as being no more than $30 no matter what, for the same reason.
  • If possible, wrap up anything in a plastic grocery bag to keep it dry.  Sometimes mail is left out in the rain and stuff can get wet.
  • Anything you send may take a few weeks to a few months to arrive, and unfortunately things sometimes don’t make it at all (we have only had one go missing so far).  Please let us know if you send anything so we can be watching for it, and save mail receipts and tracking numbers which might help track a missing package.
  • Look at our Wish List if you feel like sending something

WE  LOVE  MAIL !
